Yesterday, my parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have made it through thick and thin, crop failures and booming harvests. They have survived two children and one smelly dog, and they still love each other! I give them two thumbs up.
With thoughts of my parent’s anniversary, I couldn't help but think of my brother’s wedding. In June he will say ‘I Do’ to one of the most wonderful women I know (and a bonus is – they love each other too!). My brother’s wedding date is on my grandparent’s anniversary. 60th Anniversary.
Thirty year gaps between the boy’s big days….
But that’s not all….
My brother is 24, my father is 54, and my grandfather is 84…
Thirty years.
It is interesting how numbers shape our lives. A little strange, but wonderful. With that, I wish my parents another 30 years, and everyone else a happy January.
